This year, March 20th was the first day of spring, bringing longer and warmer days in the northern hemisphere and the first thoughts of summer floating in the air. There was also something new in the air that day: cellular phone services onboard commercial airlines, just in time for the upcoming summer travel season and the millions of passengers who will want to use their cellular phone on their way to their final leisure destination.

IPTV a Serious Threat to DTH? Not Likely...
On 28 June 2008, The Financial Express ran a story "IPTV likely to eat into DTH market." The publication stated "the new kid on the block, IPTV or Internet Protocol television, could prove to be a serious threat for direct-to-home (DTH) companies." The publication further stated "analysts feel that considering the low tariff plan that Aksh (an IPTV player in India) is offering, they may soon eat into the DTH business and not so much of the cable business." In NSR's view, this projection appears to be based more on hype and speculation than reality.
