In this 9th Edition, NSR maintains the improved segmentation of the applications served with commercial satellite capacity introduced in the prior edition of this study. On the video side of the business, NSR retains its video distribution, DTH, and video contribution & OUTV forecasts that have been the core of this study since its first edition.
On the data side of the business, NSR feels that the legacy telephony & carrier, enterprise data, broadband satellite access, commercial mobility, and government/military services application segments continue to be the best representation of the critical demand trends in the industry.
